Ponnier M.1

role : fighter

first flight : operational : April 1916

country : France

design :

production : 20 aircraft

general information :

only few aircraft used operational. It was dangerous to fly.

Jean Navarre goes to Paris to take delivery of a Ponnier M-1 fighter to try it at the front near Lunéville. It is an unstable aircraft in flight and uncontrollable in a dive and it is therefore not used for long. On January 21, 1916, the plane crashed, causing numerous fractures to Nungesser. About 20 planes were built.
